Device distribution & management
First off, just like the orders and distribution of initial devices that are handled by LeoMed, whenever you need more—or different—devices, we’ll make sure to get them for you as well. And when your devices need replacing or recycling, we’ll take them off your hands and ensure they are properly disposed of. Please note that, although LeoMed does offer basic technical support for most devices it connects to, we cannot offer repair services. Please discuss with your appointed success agent for further inquiries, they’ll be happy to help!

Questionnaires & Care plans
LeoMed can assist you in making the most of these powerful and useful tools by building the forms and plans you need for your activity. This may be done, not only once you begin integrating the platform, but at any time later on as well. We will take the time to understand your specific needs and submit you one or more proposals, according to the scope of the project and the required assistance.

Consulting
Looking for advice on integrating new devices? Need accompaniment to deploy the platform to a larger team, department, or institution altogether? Why we made this
LeoMed both addresses and simplifies a wide spectrum of medical care experiences. Our team includes a number of medical professionals who have testified to the hurdles faced when monitoring their forever-increasing number of patients. That includes —but isn't limited to— dangling wires to be hooked up and plugged in behind hospital beds, travelling from house to house for simple routine checkups, missing out on vital aspects of a patient's health because there is just too much to do. So that's why we made this : we really understand the pain points. Now, we strive to address them through thoughtful and simple design.

How we’re making it better
LeoMed is constantly looking for those little everyday details to integrate to its platform with simplicity. Although it depends on the specifics of your situation, in general the process looks like this:

1. You will have an exploratory meeting with the team assigned to your case. It's about us understanding your needs and about you dreaming big by sharing your ideals with us. This way, we can look for the best possible solutions.

2. You will then receive a service proposal, including the necessary medical devices, with an agreement and contract to sign, which will specify the next steps.

3. After that, your team and ours will discuss in detail how to set up the application according to your specifications and we will integrate your records, accounts, devices, and access points using the mobile and web apps.

4. In addition, you will be able to choose between a pilot period or a full deployment. You'll be accompanied more closely in the early stages to ensure that you get the most out of your investment.

5. Depending on the timeline you choose, you will also be entitled to an adjustment meeting where we will seek to fine-tune your experience.

6. Needless to say, your institution, as well as your patients, will have access to technical support and online resources at all times.

7. LeoMed is a system that can be easily updated, no matter what new technologies you want to integrate or what new needs you encounter. As a result, you will always be able to take advantage of a wide range of complementary services. What if I don’t have time to build my care plans?

As we’ve discussed above, LeoMed’s team offers consultation services as well. Thus, we can build perfectly adapted questionnaires that fit your specific needs, and make sure they’re up and running when you log in.

You want to make sure to keep your care plans updated on a regular basis? We can set up periodic meetings to do just that. Don’t let something you don’t have to do get in the way of the things you have to do!

Connected devices ecosystem

Can I integrate my own devices to LeoMed’s platform?

You’ll find a full answer in the next question below, but most likely yes!

Which devices are available through LeoMed?

Virtually any connected device; meaning any device who’s API we can connect with is technically available to you. To answer the question just above, indeed that most probably includes some tools that you already use throughout your institution, and that you could now centralize into one simple platform!

Do I need to use the original apps for each device I connect to?

Yes and no. All your health data is centralized through LeoMed so it’s the only interface you need to interact with, day to day. 

Now all this data comes from one of two places. For some devices, LeoMed can have unmediated access to the health data they monitor and doesn’t need their app at all (so neither do you). Most of the time, however, your health data is first collected by the devices’ original apps you have also installed. LeoMed has the authorizations to then retrieve that data from their servers and will centralize it in your platform. Altogether, you will have everything in one place, in one view, at all times.

If needed, you will have access to guidance for the installation process, and in institutional settings, your platform gateway (eg. iPad, computer, etc.) can be set up for you by our team. Your LeoMed experience is designed to stay clean and simple, enhancing the offer of your various tools, and facilitating the care you give.

what keeps LeoMed from becoming outdated, just like the other computerized tools?

We say LeoMed is future-proof because by using it, you aren’t dependent on any specific set of tools. You can change and upgrade them as you please in order to maintain⏤in one single interface⏤the ecosystem of devices that best serve your needs. As some specific tools might indeed become obsolete or as other better options appear on the market, simply integrate any desired changes to your LeoMed platform and benefit from the enhanced operation of everything you use.

Does leomed offer its own devices?

It’s not impossible that we’d want to tackle that one day, but there are so many great products out there that we just want to make available by expanding their accessibility, ease of integration, and harmonization.

Data management

CAN LeoMed synchronise data with my electronic medical records?

Absolutely! LeoMed is made to fit your reality. Your context and categorization systems are unique. That's why it's essential that the platform be able to adapt to your needs with ease.

In addition to seamlessly integrating external elements, LeoMed integrates efficiently with your internal system. Data processed by the platform is securely stored and synchronized and can be routed through your existing systems, allowing caregivers to access the required data in real time according to their predetermined roles and permissions.

How do you manage data privacy and security?

We take privacy and security very seriously. There is a detailed answer, which you can read here, and a shorter answer below.

Our security is managed through MedStack, which is a privacy compliance automation platform. MedStack builds, measures, and actively manages compliance atop the public cloud. In LeoMed’s case, this certifies that we are HIPAA and PIPEDA compliant (amongst several other standards sets). Again, the security and privacy of your data are of utmost importance to us.

Aren’t there already other telemedicine and remote patient monitoring solutions?
